Tick-tock, tick-tock. This is Part 2 of our discussion with Yaminah McKessesy about the groundbreaking new show on HBO, Watchmen. Here, we continue where we left off and finish off with an addendum about the finale and the series as a whole, including: frozen squid rain, the purpose of masks, Senator Keene's goop, Mirror Guy's season 2 potential, Paul Laurance Dunbar's poem "We Wear the Mask", eggs, Veidt's god complex, Super-Goddess-Black-Woman, and the tricky promotional poster for the series. Please, enjoy!

Tick-tock, tick-tock. With all the holidays' hoopla, it took us a while to get to it, but here it is. Yaminah McKessesy joined me to discuss this groundbreaking new show on HBO. At the time of recording, the 9th and final episode had not aired yet. However, we managed to squeeze an addendum to part two several weeks afterward. We had a pretty lively conversation in which we also talked about nostalgia, film school, Gargoyles, Boots Riely, the film Atlantique, LOST, the Tulsa Massacre of 1921, the repercussions of 11/02, Frozen 2, #TheLeftovers, "Redfordations", The Mandalorian, and the rules of engagement regarding cursing on the Pod.

Unlike the sequels to the Matrix, we won’t make you wait years, or even 6 months for Part 2 of our conversation with Jerry White tackling the 20th Anniversary of The Matrix and its sequels. We also discussed Jerry’s Film Festival, The Vidlings & Tapeheads Film Festival in Michigan which opens on June 28th. In our conclusion to our conversation, other things came up as well, like sequels and prequels, degrading computer codes, The Animatrix, digital doubles, Hugo Weaving, the Key Maker, condescending exposition dumps, “upgrades”, Flying Neo, Captain Marvel, and digital gore.
If you’re in the area of Detroit, Michigan, please drop by The Vidlings and Tapeheads Film Festival. You can learn a little more about it by following them on Twitter @Vidlings and by going to their website www.vidlingsandtapeheads.com .
